Shake the Sugar Tree: Getting it "Just Right"

As a slave and with the desire to serve your Master, you may tend to be a perfectionist at heart and need to be sure that everything is perfect at all times.  You get accomplishment from knowing that everything is “just right” for your Master and anyone visiting His home.

Shake the Sugar Tree: How To Get Into The Mood When Your Not Feeling It

Not my writing but I thought an excellent add to the Shake the Sugar Tree section - smiles!

BDSM Slave Training:  How To Get Into The Mood When Your Not Feeling It
=====================================================

Hi zecrets,
There is a question I received that I hear as a major complaint
from every sub I know.

Notes to self: Drop Your Mask and Be Authentic

Are you hiding from your Master? Too many submissives try to conceal their flaws and present a polished façade. Or they try to behave like they think "great" submissives do. When you try to be someone else, it erodes trust and effectiveness and causes people to question your true identity.

Shaking the Sugar Tree: Just Trust Me

In a very sincere voice with not a hint of arrogance or cockiness, He said, "Just trust Me."  Those are the words we often hear in movies just before something bad happens. And yet we are asked to trust our Master on a daily basis with our dreams, fantasies, well being, etc.   In a society where most tend to take control of their own lives, trusting one’s Master has become a cliché rather than a life-changing attitude towards our submission. We say it, but do we really mean it? And what does trusting your Master look like?

Quotes and Saying: A True Master

“A Master is not someone who merely revels in the benefits that he reaps from the power and control that he wields over his sub. A Master is not just an automaton who emotionally doles out orders and watches with amusement as his minions perform his bidding. A Master is not a person who only relishes the benefits that his superior status entitles him.

Quotes and Saying: Submission

“I do not want to be the leader. I refuse to be the leader. I want to live darkly and richly in my femaleness. I want a man lying over me, always over me. His will, his pleasure, his desire, his life, his work, his sexuality the touchstone, the command, my pivot. I don’t mind working, holding my ground intellectually, artistically; but as a woman, oh, God, as a woman I want to be dominated. I don’t mind being told to stand on my own feet, not to cling, be all that I am capable of doing, but I am going to be pursued, fucked, possessed by the will of a male at his time, his bidding.”

Quotes and Saying: Being Submissive

“It's hard for an educated woman to turn her head off. That's part of the joy of being a submissive. None of the decisions are yours. When you can't refuse anything and can't even move,

Quotes and Sayings: Pieces of Puzzle

"When we begin life, we are all given a puzzle -- each one very different, yet special. As we continue through our lives, we meet people and have some type of affect upon their life, as they do on ours. We share with them a piece of our puzzle and they share a piece of theirs, with us, in return.

Notes to self - Embracing a slave heart

Yet a part of you hangs back exhausted, you wonder how to find the strength or time.  Nurturing your "slave heart" seems like one more duty - one more thing to add to a life that is spilling over with responsibilities.

Quotes and Saying

The very instant that I saw You, did my heart fly to Your service; there resides, To make me slave to it; and for Your sake. — Shakespeare

Shake the Sugar Tree: Boogie Woogie

I guess we knew I would get to this topic eventually.  As I was reflecting on what to write on tonight I thought why not just get it out on the table because I am constantly in this spot.  Topping from the bottom.  A good submissive is one who submits to her Master’s leadership and authority in all areas of her life.  But sometimes she may say this while still trying to top from the bottom or taking the lead when it has not been given to her.

Posting Older Writings

Today's postings are writings from recent to several years ago.  Enjoy!

Happiness

Have you ever noticed how when things start going wrong, it seems like nothing can go right? And, when things are great, they just seem to get better and better? I have noticed this in my life. I have come to believe that my mind and heart are like a radio station, constantly broadcasting my current mood and desires. I believe that what I am broadcasting acts like a tractor beam, bringing more of it into my life. If I'm broadcasting happy, I get more happy. If I'm broadcasting despair, I get more despair.

Is a submissive “responsible” for their Discipline and Punishment?

There are few issues Dominants feel more strongly about than those regarding the discipline and punishment of their submissives. Although people may use those terms interchangeably, they mean quite different things. Discipline is the process of teaching a submissive the difference between acceptable and unacceptable behavior. Good discipline should be a positive force focusing on what a submissive is allowed to do. The goal of discipline is to help a submissive change impulsive, random behavior into controlled, purposeful behavior, and discipline should be reinforced with teaching, firmness, responsibility, and reminders.

Wisdom

Most people close to me know that I love quotes; I am always goggling quotes about life, happiness, love, etc. Today while piddling, I found this excerpt by Joseph Bailey, it is from his book, The Speed Trap, “You don’t have to be a genius to have wisdom; it is available to all of us. When your mind spins out of control, let go and trust that the wisdom within you will guide you back to happiness. Wisdom is true genius.” I think one of the benefits of getting older is that, presumably, we also get wiser. Humans of all ages react to most things from either of three locations within us – head… heart… and gut/instinct. I believe wisdom might simply be knowing which one to listen to.

~just me~

Respect the woman, desire the slut and cherish the little girl. Then You have the mind, the body and the soul.

Poems: Before You

I have loved You forever.
Before I knew Your name.
You were a part of me.

Poems: Your Control

Your fingers trace my flesh
As you bend me to
Your will
The softness of your smile
Hides the danger of the kill

Journal Prompt #1

Thinking of what to write is the most difficult part

Label: Shake the Sugar Tree

"Shake the Sugar Tree" is the title of a country music song written by Chapin Hartord. It was recorded by American singer Pam Tillis on her 1992 album Homeward Looking Angel, from which it was released in 1992 as the album's lead-off single. "Shake the Sugar Tree" became Tillis' fourth Top Ten country hit, peaking at #3 on Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs).*

In the song, a wife admonishes her husband for taking her and their relationship for granted too often, only responding when she complains ("You're like fruit from a fickle vine, 'you turn sweet in the nick of time / Love, you only come alive when you're losin' me") and concluding that sometimes she has to "shake the sugar tree" in order to "feel his love come falling all around [her]".

do You know...

Do You know what it is that I desire?
Do You know what it is that I need?
Do You understand the need I have to be pushed to my limits?

Daily Rituals: What puts you at your Master’s feet?

Today, in our hectic, extremely busy lives, it can be very easy to lose our direction to the place that we find the most happiness – our Master’s feet. When I think of being at my Master’s feet, I think of the things that feed me, ground me, and give me courage in areas needed to successfully serve Him on a daily basis. I also think of it being the part of us that replenishes newness to the connection between Him and me. What puts you at your Master’s feet? For me,

Quotes and Saying: submission

Submission is not about being used, submission is about being of use. Submission is not about what is done to you, submission is about what you do for others" "Strong men simply need women. This will never be understood by weak men. A strong man needs a woman at his feet, who is truly his. Anything else is less than his fulfillment. -- Unknown

The Journey Begins....

It is funny how life works sometimes, isn’t it? How things fall apart so they can be put back together stronger and even better.  That is my journey in this life. That roller coaster ride of ups and downs has made me a stronger person and who I am today.  I am happy.  I am reflective.  I am wiser.  I am peaceful.  I am humble.  I believe in starting over and being allowed as many chances as we need until we get it right. I have be
